Vanilla Planifolia Extrait 21 is Guerlain's homage to the vanilla orchid, which has been valued for its sensual depth for centuries. The number 21 stands for the 21 days that the vanilla pods macerate in alcohol, to release its full aromatic complexity – a traditional, elaborate Guerlain process.
The composition combines Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar with Heliotrope , jasmine and delicate tonka bean and sandalwood notes . In the base, musk and a soft amber balm complete the picture – warm, soothing, almost skin-like.
